Our client, Rachel, was riding her bicycle with her grandmother when they were suddenly attacked by a dog that had escaped its leash. In an attempt to intervene, the dog’s owner struck the animal with the leash, while Rachel’s grandmother struck it with her bike. As a result of the attack, Rachel sustained wounds and bite marks on her left shoulder and left hip. The case settled pre-litigation for the policy limits of $300,000.00.
