Reynolds v. Scott. State Court of Fulton County, CAFN: 19EV003958. Our client was helping a neighbor pack up and move her house. The Defedant was house sitting for a dog that she knew had bitten before. She failed to warn our client who was bitten on her nose when she approached he dog to pet it. State Farm denied liability saying that their insured was not the owner of the dog. Judge Roth denied the Defense motion to dismiss the case and found that the Defedant was the keeper of the dog at the time of the bite. The case settled for $500,000.00 prior to trial.
